Documents requested for a first
laminated card (after OFII + VISA)
o “Study form” and "information form" (see enclosures)
o 3 recent identity photos no smile, complete face uncovered, no hairband, no glasses (it should be passport-sized photos taken in France)
o Copy of the passport identity page(make sure that the photograph appears clearly)
o Copy of your visa, visa validation certificate and airport stamp with the date of entry in France
o Recent housing proof dated less than 3 months and valid for the next academic year as well :
o Alegessec attestation
o Rental agreement + last rent payment receipt
o Accommodation letter (“attestation d’hébergement”) that must be filled out by the person you are staying with + copy of his / her identity card or residence permit + copy of his / her last electricity bill and rental agreement
o Copy of your Birth certificate(French translated version)
o Enrollment certificateto request to your programme coordinator. It must specify the length of your study as well as your date of graduation.o Academic transcripts for the current year and any document proving your academic activity (internship contract copy, exchange attestation etc.) Prefecture expects evidence of student activities in order to issue a student residence permit.
o Option 1: Copy of last three French bank statements showing that you get the required monthly bank transfers of at least 615 euros. A letter from your family’s bank confirming that an automatic monthly bank transfer is set up in your favor is also required and its translation in French. Your name must clearly appear on the bank statements. The monthly bank transfers can also be issued by an official body from which you get a scholarship. In this case a scholarship attestation in French is required.
o Option 2: A letter from your French bank stating that you currently have at least 7400 euros into account or 4200 euros if you are housed at someone else’s place.
o If you are doing an internship : copy of the internship contract (convention de stage), payslips and last 3 bank statements.

your residence permit (after a laminated card)

o Copy of your current residence permit, both sides
o Recent proof of residence dated less than 3 months and valid for the next academic year as well :
o Alegessec attestation
o Rental agreement + last rent payment receipt
o Accommodation letter (“attestation d’hébergement”) that must be filled out by the person you are staying with + copy of his / her identity card or residence permit + copy of his / her last electricity bill and rental agreement
