The Erasmus grants can only be awarded if the budget allocated to ESSEC by the European Commission permits. Therefore, please note that due to budget restriction, the number of grants for departures from 1st September 2024 will be reduced.
1. Eligibility Criteria for departures from 1st September 2024 for STUDY AND INTERNSHIP mobilities

2. Processing of Cases
- Unmet applications will be placed on a waiting list. These might be financed only if additional funds are alloted by the European Commission.
- Once an application has been accepted, the file must be completed by the deadline for the grant to be maintained.
- To ensure equal treatment for all participants, the budget will be broken down over the year according to the estimated number of departures for each month.
- Only 6 monthly payments will be granted if the mobility exceeds 6 months (unless the budget allows it, in case of a study mobility).
- Students who have not received any financial aid will be given priority. However, the Erasmus grant is not guaranteed.
- Only 3 monthly payments will be granted to mobilities outside the Erasmus programme countries.
2.1 Study Mobility (Exchange/DD)
GBBA or GE students going on an exchange or DD at a partner institution with which ESSEC has signed an Erasmus+ agreement:
No need to inform the ESSEC Erasmus coordinator about your mobility project.
Your Study abroad coordinator will send the list of all Erasmus outgoing students to the Erasmus coordinator who will in turn send you the necessary documents to open your Erasmus file.
- START DATE: August, September or October: mail sent by ESSEC Registrar in May/June
- START DATE: January, February, March or April: mail sent by ESSEC Registrar in October/November

2024 PROJECT - INCLUSION TOP-UP:
The financial €250/month-top-up can be allocated in the following cases / Un complément financier de 250 € mensuel pourra être attribué dans les cas suivants :
- Student with disabilities or with a long duration disease (LDD) / Etudiant en situation de handicap ou d'Affection de Longue Durée (ALD)
- CROUS need-based scholarship holders levels 6 and 7 / Etudiant boursier sur critères sociaux échelons 6 et 7
- Student belonging to a household with a CAF family quotient less than or equal to €551 in 2023 (€566 in 2024) / Etudiant appartenant à un foyer dont le Quotient familial CAF est inférieur ou égal à 551€ pour 2023 (566€ pour 2024)
Payment of the scholarship
1st instalment (70% of the scholarship) : after your arrival and ONLY if your file is complete within the deadline
2nd instalment (30% of the scholarship): after the end of your mobility and when you have provided proof of the end of mobility

2.2 Internship Mobility (see criteria above)
ESSEC students who intend doing an internship in one of the Erasmus+ programme countries or in a non-programme country:
You must inform the ESSEC Erasmus coordinator about your project AT LEAST 1 MONTH BEFORE THE START DATE OF YOUR MOBILITY :

Please note that you can also be eligible for an Erasmus+ grant in a partner country, ONLY for an INTERNSHIP mobility. The budget is very limited for this type of mobility and the following ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA are applied:
Maximum duration funded: 3 months on the 2024 project for a mobility outside Europe
Priority will be given to:
- Students with no remuneration
- Host country

Basic amounts fixed by Essec for an internship mobility in a non-programme country (only 3 monthly payments will be granted for a mobility outside Europe)

Step 1: To start the procedure the ESSEC Erasmus Coordinator will send you an information email and an application form that you must complete within the deadline.
Without this document your application file will not be opened.
Once engaged in the Erasmus process you must validate 2 steps until the closure of your file. The ESSEC Erasmus Coordinator will send you an email explaining which documents you must complete to validate the steps.
Step 2: Confirmation of start of mobility
Step 3: Confirmation of end of mobility
Payment of the scholarship
After your arrival and if your file is complete, the Erasmus Coordinator will request:
1st payment (70% of the scholarship)
After your return and if you have provided the end of mobility documents the Erasmus Coordinator will request:
2nd & final payment (30% remaining)
IMPORTANT:
BY SIGNING THE ERASMUS GRANT AGREEMENT, GENERAL CONDITIONS AND STUDENT CHARTER YOU COMMIT YOURSELF TO COMPLY WITH THE ERASMUS PROCEDURE. IF YOU DO NOT VALIDATE STEP 2 (END OF MOBILITY) YOU WILL HAVE TO REIMBURSE THE FIRST PAYMENT (70%).
