Message to first-time enrolled international students regarding the vaccination center on ESSEC Cergy campus

Dear international students,

We are glad to welcome you soon on the Cergy campus for the start of the new academic year.

As you already know, courses will be 100 % on-campus for students who are in France. In order to sustain that decision, the French government has placed the Covid vaccination of students on top of its priority list.

In addition to the public vaccination centers already deployed in Cergy, which are open to all ESSEC students, please be informed that ESSEC will open a dedicated Covid vaccination center for you on the Cergy campus, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm, on the following dates:

  • 23, 26, and 31 August

  • 2, 7, 9, 14, and 16 September

  • additional slots:  21, 23, 28 and 30 September, 5 and 7 October 2021

Please read thoroughly the information below before you book an appointment online

You are eligible if you have not yet completed your vaccination before arriving in France. The vaccine will be either Pfizer or Moderna, delivered by a professional English-speaking medical team.

The vaccine is free of charge and you do not need a French Social Security number if you are not yet registered.

You will be getting your second injection, if needed, at ESSEC’s vaccination center. Additional time slots in September will be opened at a later stage for that purpose.

A vaccination certificate with a QR code will be delivered to you, which you can use to get your health pass (“passe sanitaire” in French) once you have completed your vaccination.

If you have already been fully or partially vaccinated, you might be eligible for vaccination in France and for the health pass, depending on the vaccine you received in your home country. Please refer to the table below, which is provided by the French authorities and valid as of 11 August 2021.

First scenario : in case you have only received one injection at home, you can get 1 or 2 injections in France depending on your vaccine, and you will be eligible for the health pass. This does not apply if you have received the Janssen vaccine (which requires only one injection).

Second scenario :

  • in case you have already received 2 injections at home, you are eligible for vaccination in France and for the health pass, if your vaccine was Sputnik, Cansino, Anhui Zhifei or Bharat Biotech.

  • if you received 2 injections of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Sinofarm or Sinovac, the French public health protocol as of 13 August 2021 does not foresee any additional vaccination. At the moment, the government is looking into solutions to allow the students concerned to obtain the health pass based on their prior vaccination. We are following up closely with the public authorities policy on that important matter and will inform you of any evolution.

Important : vaccination slots are limited. Please make an appointment online and please be fair to fellow students by respecting your appointment time or by cancelling the appointment at least 72 hours in advance. Make sure to fill in the health questionnaire, print it and bring it with you on the day of your appointment.

If you need clarification, please write to our Covid unit at pcacrise@essec.edu

Best regards and take care,
