You can download your coverage certificate with your permanent social security number (certified NIA number) from Social Security website - www.ameli.fr . Remember to type the postal code of the French department where you reside to be re-directed to the correct Social Security center or CPAM (that stands for Caisse Primaire d'Assurance Maladie) you depend on. Select "Droits et Démarches", then click on "Attestation de droits".
If you have a temporary social security number (Non-certified NIA), you do not have access to the Ameli. You can only access your temporary coverage certificate on your personal account under "Available certificates".
