Person with special needs is a potential participant whose individual physical, mental or health-related condition is such that his/her participation in the project / mobility. Action would not be possible without extra financial support. Higher education institutions that have selected students and/or staff with special needs can apply for additional grant support to the National Agency in order to cover the supplementary costs for their participation in the mobility activities.
For persons with special needs, the grant support may therefore be higher than the maximum individual grant amounts set out below. Higher education institutions will describe on their website how students and staff with special needs can request such additional grant support. Extra funding for students and staff with special needs may be provided also from other sources at local, regional and/or national level.
As regards the accompanying persons for students and staff with special needs, they are entitled to receive a contribution based on real costs. Each higher education institution, by signing the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, commits to ensuring equal access and opportunities to participants from all backgrounds.
Therefore, students and staff with special needs can benefit from the support services that the receiving institution offers to its local students and staff.
Une personne ayant des besoins spécifiques est un participant potentiel dont les conditions personnelles au niveau physique, mental ou médical sont telles que sa participation au projet ou à l’action de mobilité ne serait pas possible sans un soutien financier supplémentaire. Les établissements d’enseignement supérieur ayant sélectionné des étudiants et/ou des membres du personnel ayant des besoins spécifiques peuvent demander une subvention supplémentaire à l’Agence nationale afin de couvrir les coûts supplémentaires liés à leur participation aux activités demobilité.
Pour les personnes ayant des besoins spécifiques, le montant de la subvention peut donc être supérieur aux montants maximaux des subventions individuelles indiqués ci-dessous. Les établissements d’enseignement supérieur expliqueront sur leur site web comment les étudiants et membres du personnel ayant des besoins spécifiques peuvent demander cette subvention supplémentaire.

Les étudiants et membres du personnel ayant des besoins spécifiques peuvent également obtenir des aides financières auprès d’autres sources au niveau local, régional et/ou national. En ce qui concerne les personnes qui accompagnent les étudiants et les membres du personnel ayant des besoins spécifiques, elles peuvent bénéficier d’une contribution calculée sur la base des coûts réels.En signant la charte Erasmus pour l’enseignement supérieur, chaque établissement d’enseignement supérieur s’engage à garantir l’égalité de l’accès et des chances à tous les participants, quel que soit le milieu dont ils sont issus. Les étudiants et le personnel ayant des besoins spécifiques peuvent ainsi bénéficier des services de soutien que l’établissement d’accueil offre à ses propres étudiants et à son propre personnel.
