Complimentary Health insurance CSS

What is the CSS?

The CSS is a complimentary health insurance which can help you pay for your health care expenses if you have modest income.  It can cover the cost for the following services:

• Doctor
• Dentist
• Nurse
• Hospital
• Medication
• Physiotherapist

Furthermore, it can help you pay the cost of other services such as:

• Dentures
• Glasses
• Hearing aid
• Medical equipment

Who can apply for the CSS?

You need to have an active social security file 

Your income cannot exceed the maximum limit

Conditions related to your income

The CPAM needs to know your income for the last 12 months preceding the penultimate month of your application.  That is why it's very important to declare all your income when applying, such as:

• Your salaries, allowances etc.
• Regular financial aid (grants, housing subsidies, contributions from the family etc.)
• All profit you make, from games for example

What is the limit?

If you are 30 years old or more, the monthly cost is 14€.

How do I apply?

You can apply online on your Ameli account or by filling out the attached form.  You will need to send the form with the documents needed as well to your local CPAM office.
