As a student about to carry out an ERASMUS+ mobility, you must be in possession of:
- a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), or equivalent for European nationals,
- or international private health insurance (mandatory for departures to Turkey or if you cannot obtain the EHIC).
If you do not receive this document, your ERASMUS+ mobility contract cannot be issued.
European Health Insurance Card (EHIC):
The application for your EHIC is made from the home page of your personal account ameli.fr, in the section "Your procedures in 2 clicks – Order a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)".

Attention :
- on your Intranet space, the upload of the provisional replacement certificate will be refused,
- the EHIC is received within 10-15 days of ordering. To speed up the processing of your ERASMUS application, you can obtain a PDF version of your card on the ameli.fr website in the "My information" section.

Students from an EU member country can upload the EU card issued by their country.
International Private Health Insurance:
Students who cannot obtain the EHIC or who are going on mobility in TURKEY will need to take out international health insurance. If this is your case, you must upload your insurance certificate instead of the EHIC.
For all intents and purposes, here is a link to ESSEC's insurance partners, which you can access while connected to your intranet: International insurance
How do I upload the health insurance document to the Intranet space?
- Log in to your MyESSEC space,
- Access your MyRegistrar intranet space,
- Go to "My procedures", then 2025-2026,
- Upload the document under "ERASMUS European Health Insurance Card"
