Watch out for scam messages - Carte Vitale

Modified on Mon, 30 Mar at 10:37 AM

Phishing attempts regarding the carte vitale or the Ameli account are unfortunately getting more frequent.  The messages sent by the fraudster are realistic and emphasize on the urgency.

Here is an example of a scam message:

Please keep in mind the following:

  • The carte vitale is free of cost and does not expire. If you need to update your card, you can only do it at the pharmacy, never online or via a link you receive.
  • CPAM offices never ask for bank account nor personal information by email or SMS.  If needed, they ask for information via the Ameli account.
  • If you lose your carte vitale card or it gets stolen and need to re-apply for it, please do so on your Ameli account.
