Departmental / Regional Scholarships (Local Authorities)

You are encouraged to contact directly:

  • Your Departmental Council,

  • Your Regional Council, or

  • The municipality of your parents’ primary residence.

Most French regions offer one or more mobility support schemes for students wishing to study or complete an internship abroad.

Eligibility criteria generally include:

  • Duration of the stay abroad (with a minimum required duration)

  • Household family income per share (quotient familial)

  • Other mobility grants already received by the student (often non-cumulative)

  • Location of studies in France

  • Destination country for studies abroad

  • Level of study at the time of departure

  • Age of the student going abroad

⚠️ Important note:
The 2016 regional reform in France may have affected the operation of some of these schemes. Certain programs may have evolved or been discontinued.
For accurate and up-to-date information, please contact your Regional Council directly.

Scholarships awarded by the Australian Government

The Australian Government offers several types of scholarships to international students, funded by the Australian Department of Education.

The official Australian Government website (in English) allows you to easily identify scholarship providers according to the type and location of studies.

⚠️ Please note that most Australian government scholarships are primarily intended for Master’s and PhD-level students, which is common across English-speaking countries.
