The Fulbright Programme grants scholarships that are funded by the United States and other participating countries, including France. It is the US government’s largest scholarship programme.
The Franco-American Commission Fulbright France supports cultural and academic exchanges between France and the United States.
For US students coming to France to study
Three awards of 10 months each are offered to pursue a master's degree program offered through the CY Initiative of Excellence.
CY Initiative of Excellence brings together CY Cergy Paris Université and ESSEC Business School, to create one of the 17 French Universities of Excellence, selected by the French government.
Application requirements:
- The candidate must be interested in pursuing a master's degree offered at CY Cergy Paris Université or ESSEC Business School,
- The candidate must have obtained a degree that allows them to the master's degree in question,
- French language proficiency is not mandatory but highly recommanded.
Application submission and timetable:
Applications are open in Spring for the academic year starting in the year after. (example: a candidate must apply in Spring 2026 for academic year 27/28).

Other scholarships are offered by the Commission franco-américaine Fulbright in order to support new cultural and academic exchanges among French and American citizens. Those grants are merit-based, i.e. based on the quality and the originality of a project which aims at strengthening relations between France and the United-States.
Application requirements:
- To desire to contribute to strengthening the Franco-American link.
- To have a project to reach this goal,
- Priority will be given to candidates who have little or no experience in the United States.
Application submission and timetable:
