Travel with Zellidja

Are you between 16 and 20 years old? Do you dream of traveling?

You’re absolutely right! Traveling helps you become independent and build self-confidence. It opens you up to others and teaches you how to commit and take initiative. All of these qualities are valuable assets for both your professional and civic life.

Application period (Summer travel)

Project submissions for summer travel open from October until February 14.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for a Zellidja travel grant, applicants must:

• Be at least 16 and no older than 20 in the year of travel

• Be French-speaking

• Submit a travel project online

• Attend a regional selection interview in France

• Travel alone for a minimum duration of one month

• Travel between June 1 and October 31

⚠️ Please note:
Zellidja grants are not awarded for:

• School exchanges

• Training programs

• Language stays

• Humanitarian missions

How to apply for a grant

• Projects must be submitted:

  • By January 31 for first-round trips

  • By February 13 for second-round trips

Calendar

The summer travel campaign is currently open until January 31 (inclusive).
You must first create an online account in order to submit your travel project.

How do I build my project?

The project must be submitted as a PDF document (maximum 10 MB), 8 to 10 pages, and should clearly define the objectives and organization of your trip.

The project must include:

• Who you are and your motivations

• Your study topic during the trip

• The format of the final report (written, photography, audiovisual, illustrated, etc.)

• Your planned itinerary, possibly illustrated with a map and dated where possible
  (Travel must take place between May 15 and October 30)

• Your contacts, or how you plan to establish them

• A provisional budget (balanced between expenses and income)

• For minors, additional supporting documents are required

Your project should be realistic, coherent, and concise.
This is also an opportunity to highlight and showcase your talents (drawing, video, photography, etc.).
