Zellidja Grant: Travel solo and get funded (Ages 16-20)

Travel with Zellidja 

Are you between 16 and 20 years old? Do you dream of traveling?

You're absolutely right! Traveling helps you become independent and build self-confidence. It's about opening yourself up to others. It's about learning to get involved. All these qualities will be assets in your professional and civic life.

Applications are open every year from November 1st to February 15th for trips the following summer.

Eligibility criteria:

• Be at least 16 years old and no older than 20 in the year of travel
• Be a native French speaker
• Submit your travel project online
• Attend a selection interview in your region of France
• Travel alone for a minimum of one month between June 1st and October 31st

Zellidja scholarships are not awarded for school exchanges, training programs, language immersion programs, or humanitarian missions.

How to apply for a scholarship?

Projects must be submitted by January 31st for the first trips and by February 13th for the second trips.

The campaign for summer trips is now open until January 31st inclusive. You must first create an account to submit your project online. "

How do I develop my project?

The project, presented in a .pdf document (maximum 10 MB) of 8 to 10 pages, defines the objectives and organization of your trip.

It should include:

• Who you are and your motivations
• Your topic of study during your trip
• The format of the planned report (written, photo, audiovisual, drawing, etc.)
• Your provisional itinerary, which can be illustrated with a map, dated if possible (trips must take place between May 15 and October 30)
• Your contacts or how you plan to find them
• Your provisional budget (balanced in terms of expenses and income)
• For minors, additional documents are required.

The goal is to be realistic, coherent, and concise. This is an opportunity to highlight and showcase the talents you plan to use: drawing, video, etc.
