CROUS - Additional Points of Charge for Students with Disabilities or Carers of Parents with Disabilities

Modified on Tue, 24 Feb at 3:54 PM

When creating your DSE (Dossier Social Étudiant - Student Social File) on the CROUS platform, here is an important piece of information: if you yourself have a disability or if you are providing aid to a parent with a disability, you must report it. This declaration will allow you to obtain 4 additional points of charge in the evaluation of your application.

In the "situation personnelle" (personal situation) stage, you will find two questions in the "situation particulière" (particular situation) section:

  • Do you have a disability? with MDPH Recognition.

  • Are you a carer for a parent with a disability?

Subsequently, you will be asked to upload your supporting document issued by the MDPH (Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées - Departmental House for People with Disabilities).

Student with a Disability

Four points of charge are awarded to the scholarship applicant who has an opening of rights notified by the Commission des droits et de l'autonomie des personnes handicapées (CDAPH). A review of your file may be carried out. Please deposit a document in your student social file attesting to eligibility for this right during the university year or in the year preceding the date of your application.

Student Carer of a Parent with a Disability

Four points of charge are awarded to the scholarship applicant who is a carer for a parent with a disability and who is not paid for this assistance.

The parents aided by the student can be:

  • The student's father, mother, brother, sister (or half-brother or half-sister) or child;

  • The student's spouse or partner, as well as the father, mother, or child of their spouse or partner;

  • The new spouse or new partner of the student's father or mother.

Please deposit the following in your student social file:

  • A copy of the family record book, or marriage certificate, or civil solidarity pact (PACS), or any other official document justifying the family ties;

  • A notification from the Commission des droits et de l'autonomie des personnes handicapées (CDAPH) concerning the person being aided with a disability and mentioning their need for human assistance.
