If you win the prize, you will leave with a bike (mechanical or electric) worth €2,200 or its monetary equivalent.

As part of the support that Veolia wishes to provide to higher education, the institutions from which the winners come receive €3,000 in the form of an apprenticeship tax.
How to participate?
To be ELIGIBLE, the work must be carried out:
→by one or more students (up to three);
→as part of the last year of study of a baccalaureate + 5 (European standard) training course for the school year;
→ to one of the 4 categories detailed below.

FIGHTING CLIMATE CHANGE
Imagine solutions that will reduce CO2 emissions and the carbon impact of human activities, whether for industries or for territories: thinking about the energy services of tomorrow, putting digital technology at the service of the transformation of cities, pooling the activities of industrial parks, developing tools for measuring and environmental certification. Or how to reconcile productivity and reducing the environmental footprint of manufacturers.
Adapting our production and life methods to better manage the impacts of global warming on populations and territories: continuity of water or waste management services in the face of natural disasters or climate crises, crisis management to better preserve investments, reuse of wastewater in the face of water risk, energy resilience solutions.
TREATING POLLUTION
Fight against all forms of pollution by imagining new solutions to treat water, soil and air pollution, but also new and difficult pollutions, such as plastic pollution, micro-pollutants, or the treatment of hazardous waste.
OPTIMIZE RESOURCES
Act on the entire water cycle to better protect and preserve the resource. Develop the smart city by relying on new technologies, artificial intelligence, data science and digital technology for better management, optimized monitoring and greater transparency of services in water, energy and/or waste management.
Wherever possible, set up circular economy loops, in order to limit the consumption of resources, particularly in the management of household and industrial waste through the optimization of sorting, recycling and their transformation/reuse into new resources.
Develop energy efficiency solutions: green energy from sewage sludge, heating and cooling networks, energy efficiency of buildings, bio-waste management.
IMPROVING QUALITY OF LIFE
Preparing the world of tomorrow by imagining solutions today in the fields of health, urban agriculture, urbanization, to preserve biodiversity.
Enable everyone to benefit from essential services such as access to water or hygiene.
To contribute to the dynamics of the territories in which we are established by working on a daily basis to create social links, by supporting start-ups or by putting consumers at the centre of our reflections.
