Scholarships granted by the French government

Nicolas Baudin Travel Scholarship

Supported by the Embassy of France in Australia, this grant aims to encourage Australian students to discover the French university system. Laureates find opportunities to strengthen their language abilities, educational knowledge, and gain professional experience in France through the program, regardless of their stream.  


This scholarship is for Australian students going to France before December, 31st of the academic year to:

  • be part of an exchange programme, for students enrolled at an Australian higher education institution taking part in a study abroad programme at ESSEC,
  • study for a full degree in ESSEC (Undergraduate, Masters, Graduate Certificate),
  • undertake an internship in France, for students enrolled at an Australian higher education institution.


Costs covered by the scholarship:


This travel grant includes:

  • the cost of a return flight ticket between Australia and France up to €1,450/AUD$2500,
  • the access to the status of French government scholarship holders, including a student visa fees exemption.



Application requirements:


To be eligible, applicant must:

  • be an Australian student enrolled at an Australian university or an international student enrolled at an Australian university. French citizens are not eligible,
  • live in Australia,
  • retain the "student" status throughout the entire duration of the stay in France,
  • book a flight between France and Australia only (stopovers in third countries are allowed for personal reasons),
  • postpone their departure if they did not receive their visa in time. 


This travel grant can be only awarded once.


The grant cannot be awarded to students who are already in France.




Application submission and timetable:

 

You must send your application to this email address with the following documents:

  • a copy of your passport,
  • an up-to-date Curriculum Vitae,
  • an official admission/acceptance letter from ESSEC,
  • proofs of enrolment in an Australian institution along with recent academic transcripts,
  • the application form in PDF format.

Applications are usually open from the beginning of April until the end of May.

Results should be announced in July.
